ZoneControl


Product description
The ZoneControl is single zone Zero Pressure Accumulation (ZPA) control for RollerDrive EC310. It includes all DriveControl functions needed for the RollerDrive. With the ZoneControl it is very convenient to design and set up stand-alone and self-contained ZAP conveyors which do not require any higher level controls like PLCs. Handshaking to other systems is done by optical decoupled digital inputs and outputs (I/O). Conveyor speed can be changed by a central analog signal for all zones of the conveyor.

Design information
Power supply and I/O cabling is done by simple standard terminals
Peer to Peer communication cable: CAT 5 standard cable (IT ethernet cable).
 
Configuration
  • Each zone can be configured individually by DIP-switches:
    - Zone speed
    - Direction of rotation of zone RollerDrive
    - Single or Train release of the ZPA logic
  • There are also functions which can be set for the whole conveyor:
    - Conveyor speed for all zones by a single analog signal
    - Direction of transportation
    - Unconditional start signal for all zones

  • Communication with upstream and downstream zones via peer-to-peer connection
  • Speed adjustment
    - DIP switch (per accumulation zone)
    - External analogue signal (for the entire conveyor system)
  • Adjustment of the RollerDrive's direction of rotation
    - DIP switch
    - External digital signal
  • LED status indicator
  • Zone sensor connection
  • Start sensor connection
  • NPN or PNP switching logic
  • Startsignal for second RollerDrive controlled by DriveControl
  • Failur signal for all connected zones via I/O's
  • All signals referenced to common ground of power supply
