Belt Merges are designed to combine the conveying flow of two separate lines and merge them into one. In contrast to Roller Merges, Belt Merges are especially suitable for
uneven conveying goods like airport baggage, freight goods etc. The Interroll Belt Merges are designed on the principle of Belt Conveyors and Belt Curves as described on the prior
pages. However, here one side of the belt is turned inwards over an angular axle. So, the belt can be tracked over a 90° turned axle, before it is guided back underneath over
a 45° angular axle. In reverse mode these Belt Merges can also serve as diverging belts.

Normal belt conveyor technology, running a tensioned belt over a drive shaft, is not suitable for angular axles, because of too much frictional heat. This is why the
Interroll-Merge works with a brand new technology that prevents the belt from running hot. Half-round tooth elements are screwed unto either side of the belt for a positive
locking drive. Thus, we can operate without any belt tension. At the same time the teeth serve as guiding elements and ensure a straight tracking of the belt. Additional
advantages are the Merge's minimal overall height and a end idler diameter of only 80 mm, that allows even small parts to be converged or diverged.
