The problem is that freshly baked wafers distort immediately after being baked and so have to be stored for between 2 and 6 weeks following baking until they have flattened out
again.

The company expanded, and its storage space was bursting at the seams, but nature conservation associations and plannig authorities opposed a high-rise warehouse.
