The existing warehousing concept was unable to supply the 3.000 pallet places required.
As a result, cost-intensive warehouses had to be rented, leading to longer transportation times and delayed logistics.
Instead of the original intention of building a completely new warehouse, a flow storage system utilising the full height of the single storey construction was installed at just a
quarter of the cost.

The FIFO principle, product-segregated storage and rapid access for lorry loading allow UFAG a considerably greater degree of flexibility to react to the demands of the market.
Interroll engineers set up their own test unit to make an intensive study of the storage of unsecured bagged products.
A factor, which particularly pleased the management of UFAG, was the erection of the new system at the same time as dismantling of the old drive-in warehouse with no disruption in
production.
